Which glue do you need?

How to glue pipes properly

Cut the pipe straight and clean the ends.
Apply cleaner to the pipe and inside the fitting.
Apply glue to both, push the pipe into the fitting and give it a quarter turn.
Let the joint cure before turning the water on, for the time shown on the can.

FAQ

What’s the difference between PVC and CPVC glue?

CPVC glue is made for hot-water pipes; PVC glue is for cold-water and drain pipes. Use the glue that matches your pipe.

Can silicone be used to join pipes?

No. Silicone only seals joints. Pipes need a glue made for their material.
